Sony PMW/EX1 SxS card eject button broken

Hi,

I'm new to DVXuser and was hoping someone mght be able to give some advice here.

Bought the sony ex1 last year, and at the end of last week the eject button for SxS card slot A stopped working properly. it seems to be jammed. Fortunately the card stll goes in and can b recorded on but the button sticks out meaning the slot cover wont close because theres a button in the way.

Has anyone had a similar problem/found a solution to this?

I have a slightly different problem. My eject button wouldn't push the card all the way out, only a few mm. Sony service has it at the moment replacing the 'card reader' under warranty.

I don't think the part is that expensive but it sounds like a lot of labour to replace if your paying for it.

It is interesting to remember that there is nothing electronic about the eject process so you can also remove a card anyway you can without using the eject button.

With my UxX hard drive USB interface card, I simply pull on the cable to remove the card.
