I'm working on a series thats using a PDW-F800 and XDCAM discs.

We've shot about 70 discs for our 1st 2 episodes and will now need to reuse the stock for the rest of the series.

Neither myself or the production team have ever reused the XDCAM discs before & so I'm looking in to the Pro's and Cons of recycling the disks for the forthcoming shoots.

Just wondering if anyone has ever encountered issues with reusing the disks

I would appreciate any info you could send my way.

Go ahead and do it. You'll have no problems at all. I reuse discs with my F800 all the time. Sony says you can reformat them up to 1000 times and each time it's just like the disc was brand new. It's not anything like erasing a tape.
I always use removable labels so I can return the disc to "as new" condition when I no longer need whatever has been recorded or stored on it.

Doug is right. I've had a PDW-F330 for three years. I had only 10 XDCAM disks. I cycled them all the time. Never ran into any issue.
