I was Wondering if it is Possible to bypass Compression and Frame Rates by Capturing Via HDMI. in Other words can I Capture 1920x1080p @ Most Frame Rates? and can the same be said for 720p? or have they also suppress the HDMI output to be you know what?.. even though it has plenty of Bandwidth to handle much better video.
My Cards of Choice are 3 Intensity Pros From Black Magic D.

so maybe that is why EVfinder and screen die once you connect a display unit? i went out of my mind when i realized on camera displays die when teathered

here's an update, PVC is pretty reliable, so it seems there's an option:

"I also have it on good authority from a Sony contact that the mini-HDMI port output is pre-compression, so you also have the option of uncompressed recording when tethered to a card or capture device. "

I was researching this and posted Qs to David Sharpton, the guy who makes the Atomos Ninja, and his replies were pretty much in the affirmative that the VG10 will output 60i uncompressed via the HDMI. http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthrea...-Shuttle-Video-Recorder-OR-Atomos-Ninja/page3
