Sony NEX-FS700U Super 35 Camcorder; Need Opinions

I am interested in getting the Sony NEX-FS700U Super 35 Camcorder. I had a Canon 5D Mark II... recently was stolen. The police report is taking forever. I am out of work. I was thinking about taking out a loan for the Sony NEX-FS700U Super 35 Camcorder. The reason I am interested in it was for the super slow motion. I do shoot a lot of photography but I figured this camera can give better audio when shooting film then a DSLR and I can freeze frame high resolution stills if I need to. I understand the camera has a 4k upgrade but I heard it will be a bit more expensive when its released but as the camera sits.... Is it worth it? I plan to shoot a documentary on the Pittsburgh tattoo scene.

Thanks,
Brandon

You might want to spend some time with Adam Wilt's article on the FS700 that shows the quality degradation that happens when you use the super-slow-mo modes. I doubt you would want to use those for stills... although it's more expensive, the Epic sounds more like what you are thinking of, in that every frame is always the exact same quality. Of course, the epic is 4x (or more) the FS700's price.

thanks. I know I will loose quality at higher frame rates with the FS700. I watched a promo and it was at like 300 fps. looked amazing. My budget is most certainly not more then 10k.
