Details of the new Sony NEX-FS100 are being released:

My first thoughts:

The sensor is good(albeit with aliasing like the F3), but are the claims that it is almost 2x the size of a micro 4/3" sensor in 16:9 correct?

I don't like the form factor.

No ND filters is a big omission.

HDMI out only, no HD-SDI is a deal breaker for me.

Pretty sure it doesn't have a waveform, only one display for monitoring.

My first thoughts:

We should wait until maybe they both exist in the real world.
No good comes from these theoretical 'vs' threads.

Thanks.

I agree with Luis, but let's address this first before a groundless rumor starts gaining traction...

Nonsense. This notion is coming from people who don't know the difference between "Super35" and "Full Frame" 35mm stills film. 35mm stills film is 2x the size of 4/3. The Sony sensor is not quite Super35 sized. It's bigger, yes, but not anything like 2x. The AF100's is 25% smaller than the S35 sensor as used in the Sony, or, said another way, the Sony sensor is 1.3x bigger, not anything like 2x bigger.
