Sony NEX-5?

What do you guys think of Sony's DSLR yet to come.

Looks like it lost some love for having no 24p, but 30p is enough for me.

Progressive only being 1440x1080 and lower data rate could be a problem.

However, the price point with optics included is nice if you're not looking for a long term investment.

I was pleased with the 'jello', maybe I'm deceiving myself, but it looks like it has less jello than other DSLRs.

I'm not entirely aware of manual controls while shooting video and what not.

But if I have monitoring while recording this could be a winner for my needs.

Thoughts appreciated... Thanks in advance.

I like that it's sony size APS-C and that you can adapt any 35mm lens to it theoretically due to its 18mm Flange focal dist.

But its too tiny for any practical video shooting.

And before the 5D came any video professional would say so about any DSLR.

I'm pretty sure size wouldn't be much of a problem, at least not for me.

Well, nothing to see here.

Move along, NEX-5 is just a gimmick when it comes to video.

Its lack of manual control over video exposure parameters means that the Sony NEX-5 may not be a choice for serious video aficionados...
