Sony launch new software

Great ANOTHER DIT tool to learn? *shakes head*

Everyone has to have their own camera and on set coloring tool these days. It is just Sony trying to keep up.

Hopefully it does what it says and it works and its simple. Because most people already have something like this. Now how to WE the O7Q users work with this? Because remember, we don't work with Sony RAW nor do we work with SLOG (in any of its varieties) as it comes off the camera. Unless of course you use the SD cards for on board AVCHD recording.

I don't see this replacing Adobe CC for me on a laptop on set at all unfortunately. I'm sure someone will find it useful, though!

Well I am interested. As I sit in my edit suite preparing footage for my client shot on two Sony cameras. I am currently still using FCP 7 and though everyone has an opinion for FCX or PP, I think I will keep an open mind, and give this a spin. I have also decided to look at BlackMagic DaVinci as well. Not nuts about the Adobe monthly thing at all nor FCX. Everything else is evolving why not check the new options out. It is just too easy to be negative especially if you haven't tried the software.

I think this software looks very nice complement to the Sony cameras such as FS7/F5/F55 especially if you hand off your work.

I gave it a try but indeed QT ProRes is not supported, neither from BMPCC nor from 7Q
