I've been it the market for a casual pocket camera for photo and HD video. Just as finally decided on a Panasonic model with 12 mega pixel and 720p 30fps (I really never cared for the 30fps, but every pocket camera has it, I like the 60fps video look) avchd lite video. I come across the Sony HX5v somehow on the internet. It has 60i and 10 megapixel in a small pocket camera. The Panasonic was priced at 299-399, the Sony is only 349. I just picked up one at the local Penn Camera and I really like it so far. I purchased a Olympus E-pl1 at BestBuy last week, it will be returned tomorrow. Both are two different cameras, but I'll keep the Sony for a all around pocket camera.
I just wanted to share the info, just in case someone was in the market for something casual to carry around.
