I'm acting in a film and also doing some crew work. Also going to let me work with the camera and some of the cinematography. Just getting our feet wet.

Sony HVR-HD1000U Shoulder-Mount Pro HDV Camcorder

This is the camera that they're shooting with. Has anybody used this model before? Can you give me heads up on any specific problems? Strengths? weakness's? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey I looked up some of the specs and found a thread in "The new guys", hmmm, little concerned about what I'm seeing so far
