SONY HVR DR-60 + Matrox MXO + FCP 6 Workflow.

There are a few workflows for HDV to ProRes 422. Depending on the project at hand and editing facilities some are more efficient than others. i have two additional pieces of hardware in my pipeline that turning the workflow just not interesting for most forum moderators :
- Matrox MXO
- SONY HVR DR-60 recording unit.

Any body else around here is using similar set for shooting > Editing ?
Any suggestions for workflow.

P.S. i use 35mm DOF adapter on most of my clips without a hardware flip. So, i have to flip a lot of clips in post production.
 
If anyone is reading this, I have the "SONY HVR DR-60 recording unit" and also the Matrox RT.X2
When I download from the DR-60 into Adobe prem pro2, the footage needs to be rendered. (PAL DV AVI)
Why is this so ???
