I think Sony has targetted a totally difft market and difft set of consumers with its new HD cam, as compared to the DVX or XlS.
After the DVX, an increasing number of consmers were tempted to get 'professional' cams to be able to shoot clean professional looking vidoes. But at the same time, DVX was too big for their needs...technically as well.
Sony has, to my mind, targeted that group of people who are fed up of gadget cameras and would not mind spending a few thousand bux for a professional looking cam with professional looking results.
But it is definitely not intnded to be a professional camcorder; asrightly said above ...it has a 'consumersih' air attached to it.
