Sony HDR-FX1 fisheye fit on a dvx100b?

Will a Century Optics Ultra Fisheye .3x for Sony HDR-FX1 fit on a dvx100b?

they both have a 72mm filter thread size. and both lenses are bayomount

the thread size doesnt matter, and i believe the bayonets on both cameras would be different
otherwise century would call the fisheye the ultra .3x fisheye for fx1/dvx

a quick test to see would be trying to fit the fx1 hood on the dvx

but i doubt it will work

no i'm almost certain that the mounts are different.

i read somewhere that you could take the bayonet mount off the lens and there are threads on the inside..but i'm not sure.

edit: go to skateperception.com forums. those dudes have a lot of fisheye information. haha.

I hear you there, lol. The bayos are probably different, that's why they sell two different lenses. As a matter of fact, I just looked on B&H and they are two different prices, the DVX actually being $40 cheaper. So yes, they are most likely different.
