Sony FX6: This Week In Nature (4K)

Last week I finally had some free time to get out and shoot some fresh wildlife/nature 4K stock footage in Massachusetts with my FX6: Hummingbirds, beaver, bullfrogs, gold finch, woodpeckers, chipmunks, geese, and many other species. The ability to shoot 120 fps 4K while using Picture Cache at the same time allowed me to take advantage of some unpredictable opportunities that would have been far less efficient with other cameras -- or even the FX6 itself prior to firmware 2.0.

BTW, the baby geese are the same geese from the Z280 video I posted in June -- now two months older. Hard to tell them apart from the parents now.

Exposure spot on. Composition just right. Subjects interesting. Grading faultless. Bloody hell Jensen, will you please give us something to criticise you for?
Oh, and that lens looks pretty useful too. And I imagine you made good use of the new cache recording facility. Thanks for showing what the combo can do in the right hands.

Thank you for the nice comments. Yes, picture cache + slow motion made shooting this kind of video so much easier. There are several shots where I catch the animal coming into frame, which was previously much harder to shoot. I just had to frame the camera up where I thought an animal would come, and then wait for it to happen to catch it in slow-mo. Without picture cache, those kinds of shots would fill a memory card pretty fast @ 120 fps as I waited, and waited for something to happen . . . that might never happen at all. The FX6 with V2.0 is in a class all by itself now.
