Sony FS700 Upgrade in Canada?

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone in Toronto/Canada has looked into getting the update done from Sony (4k, etc) and if you know the drop-off process, location?

I called Vistek yesterday and the prevailing opinion is that the camera will be serviced out of the Gordon Baker Rd office in Toronto. I was told that Sony Canada is not doing the upgrade yet and I wasn't given a timeline. I would guess we will hear something in the next couple of weeks.
 
Hey guys, currently my Camera is at the Toronto service center getting upgraded. They have the tools and hardware to perform the upgrade. The process they gave me is as follows: go to www.sonybiz.ca then click on support, then click on the service request and return authorization. Download and fill out the form and then send to the email listed on the form, specifying there is nothing wrong with the camera on the form that it is for the 4k service upgrade and quote price of $400 + tax/shipping. They will send you a SRA number. Then you ship the unit with SRA number on the packaging and filled out form to the address listed on the form. They will contact you for credit card information. Also, please contact them at 1-416-496-5500 prior to get all the details prior to shipping.
