Sony FS700 RAW to FCP X Post Work Flow?

While CD revamps their new website, the existing post workflow PDF is not available.

Anyone care to share their high frame rate FS700 RAW workflow into FCP X without having to use Davinci Resolve which I don't have?

I don't mean to sidestep your question, but why not use Resolve? The Lite version is free and one of the better/easiest tools for the job.

Yeah, I would use Speedgrade if Adobe would get their act together. But Resolve Lite is free and is the other great alternative. Just takes a little time maybe to get familiar with the software.

So you would prefer the transcoding into .mov files that Resolve does over this from Convergent:

Once you have created a new project be sure to check the following Settings:
1. Under Final Cut pro select preferences
2. Be sure the Still Images editing duration is set to 0.0.1 Seconds
3. Select navigate to File and select Import Media
4. Navigate to the Clips directory, and select the Clip Folder contain your FS700 Raw files.
5. At this point you can start correcting the files to a 2.2 Gamma. using the Color Board.

as far as I remember you asked this already at FB FS700 user group? Even if FCPX is able to import DNG files as a sequence you won't do your self a favor with that. Just try it and you will see why. FCPX is a NLE not a RAW converter. Resolve to ProRes is the way to go. Just go back in this forum and search for keyword "Resolve" in topic to see what workflow is recommended
