Hi friends, does anyone know why my footage which is shot at 120frames 4k slomotion is only 30p on my davinci resolve timeline. Do I have to use software to combine the frames like in raw mode.
The FS700 records (and outputs) project rate when shooting S&Q bursts. (might be locked to 30p, but I'm pretty sure it will record at 24 if you have your record rate set to that, but I'm not in front of my camera right now...) So the footage was captured at 120fps, but recorded onto your media at 30p.
In Resolve, right click on clip and select "change clip speed" and in the fps drop down, change it from 30 to 120. You will now see it play in real time.
I just wanted to post the same question. Why isn't it 23.976p as the 240p RAW / ProRes.
When I set the 4k 120p from 30p to 23.976 I get very heavy stuttering on pans/tilts: Is this the footage or my screen (I live in Europe)? How do I make sure this stuttering will not end up int the final export?
Clip recorded in 120fps S&Q, output in 4K RAW at 30fps. Put on 23.976 timeline, plays smoothly at 23.976, or 120 or even 24. No choppy playback for me.
Are you using Resolve? I would render out a short clip with the issue and check before doing a lot of work.
Also, how fast is your pan/tilt? you following the 7 sec rule? (not that it would matter too much since you captured at 120fps, you should have lots of frames to smoothly drop down to 24p.)
