re future Firmware upgrades

(i) a decent waveform monitor in lieu of the current hisotgram
(ii) Ability to keep the LCD monitor powered even if I use the rear OLED viewfinder
 
What would be great and in the reasonable context of what i believe the FS5 is capable of is a very simple Cine Ei mode that when engaged applied three Gamma Assist profiles to the L, M, H gain switch with H simpy being what we have already, M being one stop over and L being two stops over. I think that would help a lot of people who dont trust themselves with S-Log and in doing so will give better results, less complaints and better footage out there to draw people towards the little camera.

A fix for the purple blocks on high contrast edges in high speed would be great too
 
With Clear Zoom enabled. With a kit zoom lense when you zoom out, there is a slight lag when the Clear zoom out becomes optical zoom out.
 
Being able to map xlr input 2 to both audio channels, as you can with input 1.
Why can't we have sequential clip names again?
 
Why can't we use all 4 audio channels of the mxf format?
Would be useful to record internal mic on channels 3,4 for backup. Or use stereo XLR mic on channels 1,2 and use Sony lavaliere to channel 3 or 4.

Yeah Cine EI and/or LUTs would be amazing or at least a different gamma for gamma display assist, since the rec709800 curve just clips those highlights so much and pushes up the noise so much.
 
A proper 180degree shutter that stays at 180 when you go into S&Q!

Switching back to full screen, out of zoom (focus check) mode, when the record button is pressed (like on the A7S)

Yes x 1000!

I'm on FS700 but it has the same behaviour. It's just an extra wasted button push that slows you down and often means you end up with a little wobble at the start of all your clips as you fumble to quickly hit the focus check button while simultaneously trying to frame your shot using guesswork.
 
gamma assist for over exposure 1, 1.5 and 2 +
AF push auto assignable on the grip

If possible make the switch from UHD regular frame rate to HD slow motion much faster... when in UHD let me select slow motion with the S&Q button and just put me into HD

Is it not possible to assign Push Auto Focus to one of the buttons on the hand grip?
That's almost the biggest reason I want to upgrade to an FS5, as I thought it was possible. It's the one thing I miss the most on the FS700...
 
Be nice to have an ECS function. I just assumed it would be there as on on the EX1r. It isn't and is sorely missed.
