Sony F900 Overcrank???

I am fully aware that the HDW-F900 can not do any progressive frame rate over 30 but I have seen multiple F900 shot studio films where slow motion is present, most notably Once Upon in Mexico and Spy Kids 2 and I was wondering how this was possible? Did Robert use his 900s for those shots or did they just use a 35mm camera for the off speed shots? Is there a way to convert 60i to 60p and then interpret that to 24p? Thanks

Update: It seems that when i shoot 60I (not 59.94, exactly 60) on the F900 and i conform that to upper field first at 24fps it actually works! Granted my KiPro is turning 60I into 30I which doesn't make any sense but I seem to have answered my own question.
