Hi !!

my F65 was on a shoot , yesterday.... After a couple of shots in the morning .... The camera was turned off. Then when we turned it on again it just wouldn't boot .
we removed everything , battery, recorder , etc. And let the camera be by itself for about 8 hrs , then the camera turned on ... But the shutter would not move , so it would just shut automatically...
Anybody , has any idea how this can be fixed ... Please let me know !!!

thanks,

Rajiv G Ghosh

Any advice!! Any body experienced the same problem before....?

Please help !!!

I don't own a F65 so this is pure speculation. I could swear someone posted a similar issue once and the problem was a low battery. Basically if the F65 runs a battery down below operating voltage the camera goes into some sort of lock up. Like the others say, go to Sony.

I can only mirror the advice already given here: report to Sony.

Not sure what you mean by boot up, exactly. If it turns on, then it would give you a warning number.

Sometimes if the camera shuts down while recording, upon startup it would ask if you want to begin data recovery mode. This can be a quick process, or sometimes take up to an hour depending on the situation. But once it's e gaged, you can't do anything else. But it doesn't sound like that is what's going on.

Best of luck, and do keep us posted.

Thank you all , for your advice ... I have sent it to my local service centre, will have an update in a day or two.

he suspects it could be due to moisture as the camera wasn't used for more than 2 months !!!

lets wait and see

thanks !!

All , just sharing what happened....... !!
While delivering the camera to my local service centre.... The camera worked perfectly fine , no problem at all .!!!!!
Wonder what actually happened there .... Sounds crazy, but it just started with no problem....
