I had a great time shooting with this camera. I'm pretty strong, so hand held was never too much of an issue for me...but as you know it is not a "light weight" camera. However, the image and workflow significantly makes up for this. Great LUT support, time-code and gen-lock, incredible flexibility in post, and super beautiful when paired up with Cooke Speed Panchros, Zeiss Super Speeds, or other vintage glass for drama. In addition, when paired with sharp modern lenses it's a super sharp image for commercial and product shots.

Also, and you'll hear lots of people scoff at this (and with good reason), but you can create a CDL or LUT for the F65 and it'll give you a great 10bit image that You can decord to your 7Q or Atamos. I shoot RAW for 80% of my work...but when I'm not shooting RAW or 12bit 444, I have and recommend just leaving the SRR4 recorder off the camera and recording with a much lighter 3rd party recorder. There are low-budget scenarios where I wanted the mechanical shutter, and my custom color profile but only want to originate 10bit files and don't want the 4lbs the SRR4 recorder weighs...so yeah, just used the brain of the F65 :) In the past this has meant extra money in my pocket. Plus, use it with a belt battery pack and it's even lighter.

Either way, it is still one of the most powerful cameras in the market...just ask Claudio Miranda! :)

I wish I didn't have to sell it, but I'm currently in the process of clearing out all my video inventory.
