Hi,
is it possible with the firmware 4.0 (or below) to output the camera internal peaking over SDI?
With Firmware 1.0 it was noht.

thanks!

Philip

Hm, maybe I am dreaming and its not possible. Sorry I will have to check and get back to you, I'm typically using an external monitor but perhaps I'm confused the monitors built-in features vs. the cameras.

Sorry about that. I could be wrong!

Ok no Prblem :) We`re using external monitors too but in a special case it would be nice to use internal peaking!

I tried everything I could think of and did not get peaking or zebra to show on an external monitor using SDI - I was able to see the message saying peaking was on - but not the function itself

Many outboard video monitors have a peaking function built in. Marshall, TVLogic and SmallHD are some of the more well known and affordable ones out there. Caveat: affordable is a relative term.

Thank you all! We have external monitors with peaking it was only a technical question about f5.
But ok. It`s not possible....so sony can sell some more of their viewfinders :)

part of why I wasn't sure about it is because truth be told I rarely use peaking feature nor shoot with it enabled. The Sony VF's have a nice magnify feature you can use to get critical focus, and if you use a decent high quality external monitor you should be able to work focus off of it.
