For those who already have an F35 or perhaps had one that died out on them. Do you recall how many hours it had? Also is 3200 hours too much of a risk? Thanks

You'll receive different answers based on the mentality and experience of the individuals responding.

In the old world, several thousand hours could be considered low (even with mechanical parts).

In the new world, many people will not buy cameras with more than a few hundred hours on them (or at least will have to be convinced that's not a lot for a particular system).

I would be more worried about purchasing the F35 in general than just about its hours. There is an extremely small amount of people - like the few members here - who can take apart their cameras and fix any potential issues with the older hardware.

Nice images though.

I would not worry about the hours. Back in the tape days this was a thing. Today I never even look. I look at the camera's general condition, test it and decide. One of my F35s has thousands of hours and it never let me down.

I agree with you. Also there has to be ONE person in the world who can fix thing that could go wrong with the system. There better be because if anything happens to mine someone better step up and fix it. Even if I have to throw a sack of money towards it lol.

These are solid state camera systems (well, once you take the tape deck out of the equation). If I had to give a rating I'd say 1-3000hrs is low, 3000-6000 moderate and 6000+ high.

Assuming 10 hour days, 1000 hours is only 100 days of use, that's sod all really.

People have a weird mentality towards these things, which I can only assume is somehow attached to the videotape recording days, where the number of hours on the heads was an important consideration.
