Hi!

I own AJ-HDC27HP in low-hours condition.. I also own Letus Ultimate and thinking of geting relay lens from letus for it. From other lenses, I own 2/3 CANON EJ prime T1.5 24mm..

Since I shoot mostly in controlled enviroment ( music videos ), I have possibility for grabbing 4:2:2 on BM Multibridge Pro 2 ( that I own ) ..

How would the picture of that letus combo compared to F3 picture?

I don't need low-light so much, since I have lightning set.

How is filmrec compared to s-log or cinegamam on F3?

and after all.. would it be wise to invest that much money ( probably 5k € more ) for F3 camcorder?

Since AJ-HDC27HP have CCD sensor, that counts, too ??

From what I see, there are various results from videos shooted on F3; some are stunning and other are so-so .. it looks like it isn't instant tool for getting good image, but maybe I am wrong..

I can say, that I can pull beautifull image out of AJ-HDC27

How about using both camcorders for filmout; which would be better ??

Thanks for thoughts, and suggestions

If you are getting satisfactory results with your setup, don't worry about it. If you've paid off your investment, can get a good price for your used kit and really
think the F3 will help you, then fine. Otherwise no sweat.
Saying that, have you had any issues using your adaptor?

I know i'm about 5 years late to this game, but, coming from someone who's owned both cameras, i've enjoyed what i'm getting with the varicam compared to the F3 but it's all personal preference.

The Sony F3 with a good 10 bit 422 recording device will give you a better 1080P HD image. For run and gun documentary I still love working with my Panasonic HDX900, with my two zooms, wide and long lens canon B4 glass set up, I also record to an external recorder with the HDX900 usually a Nanoflash. I have used the Letus ultimate with the relay (B4 mount) with the HDX900 and it is too heavy, and needs a extra time and light to look good. For commercial, drama, narrative, indi film I would recommend the Sony F3 with the 10 bit recorder!
