F3: Sony F3 TV Spots

I find it interesting how commercials differs around the world. I would have shot with deeper dof and toned down the chroma and I would make them more uptempo but that's just me. There's a sad sense to these but maybe that's just the American way ;) Liked to look of the second one better but also felt you had a shortage of takes?
 
You are partly right. The spots actually were shot to be 30 sec. spots. But the client suddenly wanted 60 second spots instead once they saw the first edit of the 30's. So we had only shot footage with a 30 second spot in mind. These were real people, not actors, so we used the best takes possible. The client also preferred the longer shots and sound bites compared again to the original intentions when they were shot.
 
You never know what'll happen with footage when you hand it over. Today a client of my client wanted stills from a thing I shot the other week to print. Had I known that, I would have brought a DSLR along... now they have to make do with framegrabs.
