SONY F3 crash while doing firmware update!

Hi!

So today my F3 crashed while I did upgrade from 1.1 to 1.3 firmware.
While updating, the screen went black and the camera wouldn´t shut down without taking out the power tap.
Same thing when I turn it on again. Nothing happend exept the green light turned on and the red rec light as well. Everything is locked.
I did everything by the book. The power did not shut down I made shure I had enough battery.

The same symptoms happend to another F3 owner I know. He did´t do any upgrade while it happend, but same thing happend.
He had to turn it in to Sony for quite a while.....

Anyone else experienced this?

The screen goes black for about 20 min during a normal firmware upgrade. It specifies it in the PDF included with the Firmware file. You just let it run its course and then a screen pops up telling you to power off the camera.
If it's interrupted I imagine the camera would be confused and require service.

I powered it on again and after about 20 min its alive again!!

Even after reading the firmware pdf, it's quite disconcerting when the camera goes blank for such a long time. I did notice on mine that the rear record tally light stayed on the whole time. At least this gives you some indication that something's happening and you haven't just upgraded to a paperweight!
