Sony EX3 Infrared Issue

Hello,
Thanks for all the posts. The EX3 is a complete and total dealbreaker for me - I shoot classical music videos for a living and i was shocked to see a brown color on my subject's black tux jacket. Can someone please advise as to what screw-on filter solves this problem. I heard the B+W 486 had a green-tint, and one person telling me the IR filter from Schneider to not make any difference.

Best,
AB

Last January, I shot the keynote at MacWorld expo with an HVX200 (CCD camera). Lighting and everything was perfect. As was Steve Job's brown turtleneck. In other words, so much of this IR issue is related to tungsten lighting and seems to be more endemic to CMOS cameras such as EX and Red. However, as I have footage to prove, it can even occur with CCD cameras.

Schneider will have this problem solved soon, I think.

Deal breaker? This is not a new problem with cameras. Through the years, I've seen this on many cameras.

Buy an existing IR-CUT filter, or wait for the Schneider.
Or, sell your EX3. You can get decent $$ for this camera right now.

Wait for which Schneider?

Wait for which Schneider?

I thought they already make an IR 77mm filter, but someone said it was a waste of time. Thanks :)AB
