Sony EX1R service manual

After a short history of over-heating, my EX1R (3 months old) switched itslef off for the last time two weeks ago. I've taken it to the service shop where they are trying to get hold of the Sony Service Manual from where the camera was bought - Hong Kong - Hooray - I've bought myself a dud import!! Anyway I'm pretty much stuck with it now, but I need it to work - I have a job to do at the wend of the week - and the repair shop needs the service manual, which HK are being REALLY slow about. Can anyone shed any light where I might be able to lay my hands on one, online or otherwise, please??

Thanks

If the service shop were authorized by Sony, they could get the service manual from Sony. For that matter, they would subscribe to the service and already have the manual on disk.

Why does the service manual have to come from HK?

Since the camera came from HK, I surmise its a grey market camera. Is this a non-Sony shop? If so perhaps a different shop is your answer.

FYI,
For whom it may concern !!
Never buy electronics stuff specially cameras from Hong Kong and Singapore unless you get the proper International Warranty. There are so many crooks I have come across in those countries. The customer services in those countries are hopeless. Better to buy electronic stuff from the country where u live with proper warranty or with extra extended warranty after paying few hundred dollars.
