Sony EX1 and MRC1K

OK, you're thinking, why? Well as an alternative to SxS cards and MxR cards, would the MRC1k actually work with it? Ex1 has a firewire doesn't it? Why not? CF cards are easier to get hold of than adapters and SxS cards.

Any thoughts?
