Hello people!
I'm kind of in a spot. I've got a DSR 200 that needs a replacement viewfinder, but I am absolutely unable to find the identical viewfinder for replacement.
So what I'm moving towards is using just a random viewfinder off of a Sony DCX model or something. The problem that I'm seeing in the schematics, though, is that the old Beta cam viewfinders are 8 pin, but that, unlike the DSR 200's viewfinder, the 8th pin is an indentation, not an actual "pin hole" (if that makes sense?).
The DSR 200's viewfinder 8 pin set-up is, to me, almost a kind of 9 pin set up when compared with the beta cam models. E.g., within the circle you have 8 distinct holes circling one hole, and the final "hole" is the line-up point for the plug. Whereas the beta cam viewfinders have 7 distinct holes, and the 8th "hole" is the line-up point for the plug.
Does anyone know if some kind of adapter exists for the DSR 200 line of viewfinder plug-in? Or is there some way I can take a different viewfinder and hook it up to this model?
