Sony DCR-PC10

I know this is an older camera, and not of the professional grade. I shoot with Canon GL1, XL1, XL1S, Sony Betacam SP, etc.

I have an opportunity to grab one of these for about $200 CDN with batteries and some accessories. Just wondering if it's even worth it for me to spend the $ just to have a camera around. Let me know what you think.

Email to digistar_media@hotmail.com as I'm not on the site as often as I'd like to be.

Re: Sony DCR-PC10

I actually have a pc-1 which is older than the one you are considering. Just as a point of reference I also shoot with a sony dxc 327 beta cam/dvcam and have a dvx100a. I have found this little camera to be quite effective with its Carl Zeiss lens and small size. If you are carefull with lighting (make sure you have enough) and limit your distance to 10 to 15 feet I think you will be hard pressed to tell the difference in quality with the bigger cameras. I have used this little thing from tv spots to vacation footage. I would never get rid of it. Just an opinion.
