SONY CLM-V55 Portable Monitor is available at B&H

Ah ok. I just found some other posts on this topic too and yes, all of them point to audio through HDMI only on playback for both the 5d and GH2. I thought this would be the case since I hadn't seen any posts about it with this monitor.

Just a question here to help me understand but why would a DSLR shooter want a 5 inch monitor in the first place?
Apart from the peaking function, why would you pay for just 2 inches more space than the on-camera LCD?
Am I missing something here?
 
Nice to be able to put the camera up on rails and on your shoulder, with the monitor in front for better balance when handheld. A five inch screen is more than enough, I upgraded to a 9 inch field monitor and its too big!

Ahh I see now. The source of my confusion was in the pictures of the monitor were always on the camera itself.
 
Yeah, they give you on camera mounts with the monitor, so I think all of sony's product shots are mounted like that. Sometimes at work I'll do that if its a simple setup and I'm feeling lazy. But it's much nicer to have it mounted on an arm. Decent monitor for the price, I recently sold mine but when I shot with it and my GH2 I never had a problem nailing focus despite the 800x480 resolution.
