Sony AXS-R5 Best 1080p

[Chris Langer]

What is the best quality you can record in for 1080p on the AXS-R5 combo? Can you do 1080p RAW with it?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris, the axs-r5 currently records 4k Raw only. Soon 2k raw is scheduled to be added in September's firmware update. No planned 1080 recording is announced at the present time. See the timeline here. http://community.sony.com/t5/F5-F55/NEW-Firmware-Timeline-Charts-July-2013/m-p/147725#M3757.

Well thats a shame. Looks like I am stuck using 4K.

With the interface on fs700 the raw recorder records 2k raw up to 240 fps. Works like a charm and for example 2k raw 50fps looks brilliant on colors

2K RAW's resolution is awful even compared to in camera 1080p.
