Sony Affordable 35mm is here, finally! SONY PMW-F3 a 35mm XDCAM EX

If the F3 sensor is (unlike the F35's) natively 1,920 x 1,080, then there's no way to get 4:4:4 at that resolution, or even 4:2:2. There just aren't enough pixels.

the apparant resolution is 1920x1080, actual pixel count is higer.

So the new price on B&H is lower then first advertised, $18950 with lenses. now it seems abit more attainable

They have now clearly set the Scarlet market in their sights with those price points, even if the workflow is significantly different.

Could do with something wider than 35mm lens as an alternative in that lens package though. 20mm-24mm range...I could see doing 24-35-50-85 too.

What will the cost of the 444 upgrade be?
