Sony ACM21 Fujinon 2/3" Lens Adapter

Help I'm shooting on the weekend...
I just bought a Sony ACM21 Fujinon 2/3" Lens Adapter for my EX3, but it won't fit and I don't want to force it...

I phone a rental house who have 5... they said they also had a problem with one of theirs.

Has anyone heard of this problem before or have a solution.

The guy at band pro has a problem putting them on, too. It has to go on flat and he says it takes him a awhile to get it lined up....I have had no problems putting them on myself, so I guess it just depends on the person.

Just keep trying and be careful.

I was just shooting tests with one and digiprimes today...good god its so good looking.
 
We have had a few requests to make our version of the ACM-21. I haven't actually held one in my hands but can you tell me if the glass in it is just an optical flat?

These adaptors are very expensive and if there's way we can produce one at a much better price would there be many people interested?

The wiring shouldn't be too difficult but the little push in connectors might be very difficult to source.

There's no quick lens changing with my EX3 either--I have the same issue with all three of my adapters---but they do fit perfectly when they are precisely aligned. There seems to be no trick except patience. Don't be tempted to reach for a hammer.
 
Sorry it's take so long to reply... I was in the middle of a shoot, but the adapter works!

After reading your posts... I kept adjusting it... gently pushing it down until suddenly, it sat perfectly flat.

The problem.... the camera and adapter were factory new... now it falls into place within a second.

Thanks you to every one who answered me... you saved me a lot of time.

The key word was 'flat'... thanks 'The Sarlacc'.
