SONY A7S Fisheye? Crop or Not?

Hi Guys,

I've just purchased a Sony A7s and am in need of fisheye advice. I film skateboard/bmx where a fisheye is necessary for lines/ rolling shots. My question is would I be better off with a 12mm Rokinon full frame fisheye (ie. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1089934-REG/rokinon_12m_c_12mm_f_2_8_ed_as.html) or a similar 8mm fisheye (ie. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1039944-REG/rokinon_cv8mbk31_e_8mm_t3_1_umc_fish_eye.html).

With the APS-C crop mode it seems the jello effect is minimized which might be ideal for moving shots, and would lead me to believe the 8mm is better option in crop mode (as it would be wider than than the 12mm in crop mode). Wider is better for these kinds of shots. However being my first full frame camera, cropping seems almost disappointing.

These lenses are hardly available in Canada so hard to test without actually ordering one.

Any though or suggestions?

The Samyang 8mm for Canon is pretty good, and cheap too. I guess the E-mount version should be just as good, or maybe even better... And don't be disappointed by cropping when needed: unless you're shooting 4K or need ISO 12800 or higher, the APS-C mode looks just as good as the FF mode, and even better at 60p, which you'll probably want to use relatively often for that kind of video.
