Sony a7III vs Fuji XT2 video comparison

I lean towards the Fuji footage although it is quite warm. Would be even better if it was 10bit! Thanks for the comparison.

Cool test. Mac, which one you recommend as second camera for F35? I guess A7III because is Sony? Or maybe other A7 like A7S or A7SII? Full frame is nice.

i really wish you didn't need the xt's grip to add a headphone jack.

there is something about fuji's color.

(the way imho there is still something about canon's color!)

be well.

Thanks mac. I started thread in F35 forum asking F35 owners which sony camera is best 2nd cam for F35.

Thanks for the test. I've been a Sony fan since the original a7S, but I think Fuji is doing A LOT better here, with both nicer highlights and more detail and better color in the shadows.

Edit: congrats!

does the fuji xt2 and the fuji xt20 shoot the same video but the xt2 has more option due to the grip?

thanks in advance.

Nice, really love Fuji's colors. I'm split between Sony and Fuji right now, love both systems for very different reasons. Going to try the XH1 (200mbps and Eterna internal) and the a7III to see if either moves me toward a single system.

Saw the article on Dpreview, great job. Can't imagine shooting from a train like that. Kudos.

They're different. The XT2 downsamples a full pixel readout readout to 4k video, so there's a slight crop. The XT20 does something different, not quite as detailed, but no crop. You can see that here:

If anyone is looking for an a7III, reach out to Brent at 'Professional Video'.

Don't even hesitate for a second if you're interested in this camera as it's been impossible to find within the last 2-3 weeks (besides an import from eBay).

They are a sponsor here and a great small business in Portland, Oregon. This was supposed to be my camera but I found one locally (and needed it ASAP).
