C0005.00_27_18_14.Still001.jpgWondering if anyone else has experienced this issue - a very unnatural looking halo when camera pointed directly at the sun shooting in NTSC video mode. Renders this camera useless until this issue is fixed in my opinion. This was shot at 3200 ISO, 120fps at 100 in Slog3 (profile 8). The halo is consistent throughout the shot. This is obviously different from the purple spot issue when shooting PAL.

The Sony Rec709 LUT was applied in post. The halo is also apparent in the log footage.

That has been there in quite a few Sony cameras and one other company has the same problem(which i dont remember) Its just one of those - thats what you get when you go for prosumer gear - kind of thing - and yes im fully aware that Canon's cameras dont do that.
