Sony a7 ii 5-Axis stabilization (in camera)

Interested to see how in-body stabilization will work with their OSS lenses. Will OSS lenses give extra stabilization?

This is the same type of 5 axis stabilization that Olympus OM-D E-M1 has had for over a year. I own this camera just for stills and it is amazing. With the 4/3, 2x crop I can put a 4/3 - 300mm on so effective 600mm at full frame and hand hold. Mirrorless is coming and it is great. Hats off to Sony for going full frame. They just might get me to switch and use the same lens on my FS7, very cool.

No, the lens will not add extra OS with the camera IS, and you do not need it.

is anyone on DVXUSER going to buy the A7 II with no 4k option?
I am still on the fence. No 4K doesn't bother me, because we have options now.

Main thing that is killing the A7II is the aliasing. Would be interesting to see how it looks in crop mode.

I like the idea of having different Sony "brains" for different chores. One for low light (A7s) and one for daylight (A7whatever). The sad thing is they did not deliver on video IQ with the A7II. And I am not certain that iso1600 slog2 is very practical addition to the A7s iso3200 in slog2.

So, I am not buying for several reasons. Sony missed an opportunity to sell two cameras, as a complimentary set. Let's see what happens with the A7rII =/
