Sony a6500 - Phone as a Monitor 'Smart Remote' Problem

I often do photography of myself from a distance & I need a monitor (phone) to view my composition.
I use a wireless remote to take photos.

I have the a6500 connected to my phone using the Built-in Wireless 'Smart Remote' & use the app on my phone to view the image.
The app is great, but using the app does not give me the full manual control of the camera, and lowers the image quality (not raw).

Instead...
I have to compose my shot with my phone, then turn off the 'Smart Remote' app, give it a few seconds, and then fire the shots with my wireless remote.

But, then the problem is...
If I am several meters away and I need to recompose or look at the image, I can't. I would have to go to the camera and turn on the Smart Remote feature on for it to connect to my phone again. I simply cannot turn it on from my phone again. Is there an easier method, or am I just not getting it?

What about using an external monitor too? You can run a long HDMI cable and set it up somewhere near you to review the image.

No, definitely not!
I am not buying any external monitor.

Plus, I take photos of myself from a far. Sometimes half a football field away

The way I do it now is fine. Its just annoying how I cant preview the image after I've taken it... as Id have to turn on the app in the camera first.
