Sony A55/A33 DSLR

I heard about this, and apparently, it is out already. Sony has released two new alpha APS-C DSLR's that do video: the a33 and a55.

Key Features (A55):

16.2MP, Translucent Mirror Technology, HD Movie, GPS tagging, Live View with Phase detection, 10 fps Photos, 15-point auto focus, Articulating LCD.

The camera has a non-moving transparent mirror, meaning that it allows for faster shutter burst for photos. It does have a EVF, but it is high resolution. For video, it features 1080i60 and 1080p30. Not sure about other resolutions or frame rates. Hopefully 24p, but it doesn't seem to say it anywhere. It also does live AF during video, which can be helpful. I am curious to see how this matches up to Canon, Nikon and Lumix models.

The price is $750 for the body, $850 for a kit, which includes an 18-55.

Yeah, I actually came around here hoping to find reviews of this, as it is comparable in price to the Canon shooters and the AF and articulating display make it more attractive in my opinion. But no reviews on here yet???

Someone I know just ordered one, I'll see what he says. What worried me is the light loss from the mirror, as you will get some. He seemed to think it was about a stop. What he wants to see is how the autofocus works in this system. he is mainly a photographer, but, I'll still get him to let me play with it :)
