Sony A1: Bald Eagle in Flight @ 120 fps

I got lucky this morning and filmed this Bald Eagle flying over my backyard with my Sony A1 and 200-600mm lens in 4K @ 120 fps. I missed him snatching a fish from the lake just before this, but at least I had time to get ready while he ate his breakfast in the trees.

I still prefer shooting with the FX6, but the A1 just happened to be the closest camera when I saw the eagle catch a fish and fly into the tree. There wasn't time to get the FX6 while he ate the fish, but I would have preferred using the FX6 if I could have. But with that said, the A1 does a nice job and has excellent picture quality. I'm adding a Zacuto Kameleon EVF to the A1 when I get back to Florida to make it more like a cinema camera. The main thing it will still lack is ND filters and picture cache.

I am happy to say this Bald Eagle clip had its first sale today at Shutterstock. The snowball should start rolling now that the first sale has been made. If this clip earns as much as a couple of my other bald eagle clips, the A1 has just paid for itself with one shot. Time will tell.
If you've got a camera and you're not doing stock footage as a side hustle, you're missing out on a great opportunity.
