SOLD Sony 85mm f/1.8

If it makes you feel better, at least I'm thinking about it. :-)

It does, TY :dankk2:

I think the lens would loved to be used on your journeys. You're likely covered with reach, so maybe you can use some extra super shallow DOF for when you're not too far from the birds and crocs and...

I've got some very nice S35 PL lenses but not too many FF lenses for the FX6. The 85mm would probably make a good go-to lens for interviews and headshots with a fast max, aperture and excellent AF. On the other hand, maybe I would be better off putting that money into a 70-200 f/2.8. Decisions.

Everyone falls in love with an 85mm f/1.8 on a full-frame. (Just saying that in general; it doesn't have to be this model, my lens.)

The classic standard for shallow DOF interviews/headshots which has that 3D pop when used wide-open on FF (has to be wide open...take advantage of the glass) like photographers do. For many years we couldn't do that because of no decent full-frame cinema cameras.

Not always necessary but adds a unique look to certain applications (especially combined with eye-AF and eND).
