I picked up a used 70-200 on CL and checked the FW and it was V1. When I tried to update the FW to V3 with my A7SIII on my Imac 2017 (OS 10.14) the computer froze and I wasn't able to successfully update the lens. Is it even possible to install the firmware with an A7SIII on OS 10.14. Also, is there any major upgrades in V3 vs V1? Thanks.
