I am moving everything to APS-C and just got the 18-55 2.8 G lens. I have the Sony G Master 24-70 2.8. This thing took a spill on my FS5 a year ago and luckily the UV filter took the brunt of the fall. There remains a small scuff on the outer portion of the lens that you can see in the photos, but it does not affect the image at any f stop. I can take photos at all f-stops and upload RAW so you can inspect if you want, but I have never had any issues with image quality.
