FS5: Sony 20mm f2.8 on FS5

Hi. I just bought a Sony 20mm f2.8 to use with the FS5 on a Movi. The 20mm doesn't want to autofocus at all and I am wondering if it is a faulty lens or is this a common problem? Also, when in manual focus it reports the wrong distance. This also happens on my FS7 but the autofocus is slightly better. Does anyone else have this FS5 / 20mm f2.8 combination, and if so, how is it working for you?

On a related topic, I too would be very interested to find out what solutions people have found to focussing the FS5 while on a gimbal. I have access to a movi to use and currently only the kit lens. I was considering the 16mm pancake lens that was used by a user here who posted a very early test with the camera on a ronin-m, but it has very mixed reviews.

With the Sony 20mm 2.8, is there any focal point that will give enough of a spread at the correct distance to not have to try to use AF?

Thats probably the politest thread hijack ever. However... I'd appreciate it if you would start a different thread for this question.

Well it was part related in terms of the FS5 in use for gimbal work, and a question directly related to your sony 20mm. Not intended to thread hi-jack but I see how it's diverted from the focussing issue you're having.
