National Lampoon's AV Squad documented an intimate interview and acoustic performance with Drive-Thru Records' pop-punk delight, Something Corporate. The band is currently touring with Good Charolette as the supporting act.
Both, the interview and performance we're filmed the Panasonic DVX100 set to 24p normal (F5) and lit with 1-ARRI 300+ fresnel. The interview audio was recorded with an Audio Technica floor mic and the performance audio used the DVX100's on-board mic [NOTE: During the recording of "Space," we had CH1 set to the on-board mic and CH2 set to the XLR 2 input. The XLR was connected to the board; however, the sound tech overloaded the vocals. Always soundcheck!!!]
To achieve a multi-cam effect during the performance, with 1-camera, we asked the band to perform the song 3-times. I changed camera positions each time and during 1-take I changed locations twice.
