Something I shot

Well I'm glad you figured out how good my script was based on some dialouge. If it sounds similar it's because it's universal themes I'm dealing with.

What else would an audience base a script on? Dur, dialouge. If it sounds similar, it's like Jake said, because we've heard it a thousand times. Don't blame your writing on the theme. Themes can be twisted in whatever direction you want.

But hey, make it, have fun, and don't look for a rating higher than 5.2 on imdb.

I dug that. That scene where the fight breaks out between the bunch of guys, looked great. Good luck with your projects man.

Ever heard the saying "if you don't have anything nice to say..."? Critique's are one thing, but hostility for no particular reason is uncalled for. These boards are meant to give feedback... positive and negative, not to bash people that have different film preference's than your own.

Grow up. You and you're friend... (yeah, you guys aren't fooling anybody)

Oh, and I didn't realize that the goal of making a film was to get a high rating on IMDB.

Thanks

that saying is bullshit. Im sorry ahah. Grow up, if you cant take critscem your going to go nowhere, and in the film bussiness your going to get alot of it. It doesnt matter if you agree with it or if you think the person is being a complete asshole take it and accept it, if anything its going to help you. 100 people telling you they love your film and giving you comments like "that was great!!!" that does nothing for you. the one person who says "the lighting was awful, watch the double shadows" (not about your film just a random example) is the person who just helped you out, all of those other people did nothing for you. neither of our comments had anything to do with preference, we said it was cliche and poorley written, thats our opinion, if I were you, and I have done this numerous times when my work has been bashed is actually ask the person more questions you should be curious why I didnt like it and try to get something out of it, not get mad and disregard it. Im not trying to be an asshole for no reason here, im telling, we both are telling you, what we thought about your film, yea I could have been a bit nicer about it and put a little candy coating on it for you but why? and ahah the imdb thing was im pretty sure a joke. relax....its just the internet.

Constructive criticism is appreciated on these boards... hell, that's why we're all here. Laughing at others' work is not (unless it's intended to be funny, of course).

I'm not going to sit and argue with you, I'm just asking that in the future you be a little more respectful with your responses, please.

Alright, I'm done with this thread.

P.S. Biohaxrd... I don't think he's finished it, and from what I gather, it's not going to get finished because of various reasons.

I'm actually interested to see that if you ever finished that film. The Movie Script Ending DeathCab song fit with the context of the images. Good work.

Yeah I never made the actual film. It's a script I feel like I'll come back to some day on some level but right now it's not a project I'm actively working on. Thanks for the interest though.
