WOW those shots are great, do you happen to have the settings on those clips?

Re: something a bit more...epic? Grabs.

stock lens with a fake letterbox :-[ Hopefully I can get the anamorphic soon.

Settings? Default.

Re: something a bit more...epic? Grabs.

Im pretty sure the first 3 are 2:35 but the last two are......

Hmmmm. I think thats like some new french indochina type aspect ratio?

Re: something a bit more...epic? Grabs.

What if you used the anamophic adapter and squeeze at the same time?! ??? <--it would be 2.35 technically..would it work?

Re: something a bit more...epic? Grabs.

You don't, which is why you shoot with letterbox+anamorphic, not squeeze+anamorphic, which gives you 2.35:1 suitable for widescreen TV's or DVD's.

They all look incredible.  Great work.  That second shot of him walking towards the sun is the one that amazes me, though.  With our 24p, we all know that the lack of exposure lattitude(spell?) is really what kills our videos as far as looking dead-on like film.  But in that shot, I see a lot of latitude(spelling it differently this time and hopefully one will be right) considering you're looking at the sun in that pic.  Only the sun itself seems overexposed (which is to be expected even with film), with the rest of the sky and clouds actually having shapes and detail and color.

For that shot, how did you have it set-up?  Shutter speed, ND's (internal/external or both?), iris settings, polarizing filter, mattebox, yada yada yada?  Would love to know.

You did an incredible job with all of these shots.  Kudos.

Really awesome pictures. I did like the second one and the last one. I didn't like the first one. It doesn't look like as nice as the others.

All the best

Fidel.
