hey just got my go35 sd standard(not pro) in today. i dont know if im doing something wrong. today is cloudy so i understand the lightloss issue, but there is a huge amount of grain, and i can get ride of the circle. the closest i can zoom on my camera doesn't get rid of the edges being cut off, and when i try to zoom further, it can't focus that close on the gg. :( am i doing something wrong???

looks like your lens is stopped down.
what kind of lens are you using?
there may be an iris ring with which you can open the iris on the lens.
 
im using the kit lens that comes with the nikon d70. it is a 3.5-4.5g ed 18mm-70mm. i dont see anything to open the iris anymore on the lens either... :(

using the dvx100p
 
...ah i do see the switch to open iris but its on the actual mount end. i can push it to the left and see the iris open, but its springs back to closed when i let go....

yeah, that's controlled by the camera.
perhaps there's a way to keep it open.
i'd do a search on the forum, as i'm pretty sure this has come up before.
