Some video I shot in DC

Rolled the dice. It depends on the officers. There were a least three in front of the Supreme Court. None said a word to me. I was told at the Library of Congress to not use my tripod. Capital Hill police seem more forgiving. Park Police definitely are more strict in my experience. A few days later I was doing work at the Air and Space Museum, and I got stopped by park police. They told me put away the tripod or get a ticket. The officer was cool and said he needed to check out something at the end of the street. He said get what you need quickly and don't be here when I come back. I got what I needed and was gone.

great stuff

Looks great Joe, really nice and clean, well composed shots. My next goal is to learn how to use the interval recording feature for Time-Lapse footage. Saves a lot of GB on the card and pretty nice looking TL's.

I used stock lens, scene file VIVID, with a tiffen polarizer on the lens. May have kicked the shutter to 1/100 (not sure on the shutter)

Yes very cool! This shots are beautiful and very "broadcast"! You have a lot of experience, and i see this from the composition of your framing, i mean the perspective and the balance of the image. I love the 301 color gamma, and i think that you have done almost a perfect job in preproduction, without loosing time in post for the color correction!
Very good job,

My church has been using HPX300s for over a year. They really like them. Excellent camera.

Looks really good! Do you remember if you used WB Position 1 or 2? Because in VIVID Scene-File WB 1 is set to +2 and i would like to hear your suggestions about that. Isnt it too much red?

Thanks for the complements. I may be confused with your question but will try to explain. I believe the WB Positions are for presetting a white balance for certain shooting situations. In other words you can set a WB on preset 1 for 3200 and set a WB on preset 2 for 5600. As your shooting situation changes all you have to do is flip a switch. It is convenient when you know you will be going inside and outside throughout the shoot. If your subject pulls up in a car you could be on preset 2 (5600) as the subject walks into a building you can flip to preset 1 (3200) on the fly and not miss a beat. I do not believe the WB presets alter the VIVID scene file setting. The VIVID scene file is like a templet, if you personally think there is to much red +2, then adjust it to your liking and save it. I believe you can customize scene file to your liking. Many are posted here on this forum. If you like a scene file but want to make minor adjustments, you can do so and set it for your personal preference.
